Ephesians 5.18

Emptiness

• Who is the Empty?
• We are because we were made for Him.
• What does He fill us with?
• He fills us with Himself and shows us His love (Eph 3.14-21)

Continuity

• Did we get everything we need?
• Yes, He is our seal and down payment.
• The ongoing filling is inherent in the relationship.

Influence

• He inhabits us and begins to influence us.
• Every sphere of life comes under His influence.
• You have to work to hide it, not work to display it. (John 7.37-39)

Displacement

• He deals with the mismanaged desires and their idols.
• He points our desires to Jesus.
• We need to know that Jesus is more real than anything
